The Audubon County Hospital Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1994 to promote and strive for improvement of healthcare facilities and services for residents of Audubon County and the surrounding area. The Foundation consists of a nine-member board representing the urban and rural areas of the county and a Director of Development. The board accepts gifts and conducts fundraising events. Ways to Give There are many ways to financially support the Audubon County Hospital Foundation and the Audubon County Hospital Foundation Endowed Fund. An annual fund drive is held in December – January soliciting donations from residents of our county and the surrounding area. Some donors prefer to support the work of the foundation by giving on a monthly, quarterly or semi-annual basis. In addition, a fund drive is held each December at ACMH to allow employees to donate through a payroll deduction program. The foundation hosts three fundraisers each year. The annual golf tournament is held at the Audubon Golf and Country Club in July, and a Harvest dance, featuring music from the Big Band Era, is held at the Audubon County Fairgrounds' Agri-Hall in October. A book fair open to the public and hospital employees is also held during the year. The following list provides some examples of ways you can contribute to the Audubon County Hospital Foundation. All gifts to the foundation and the foundation’s endowed fund are tax-deductible. A gift of cash – An outright gift made by cash or check.Memorial/Honorary/Celebratory Gifts – Gifts given in memory or in honor of a special person or life event. Audubon County Hospital Foundation Endowed Fund (ACHFEF) The Audubon County Hospital Foundation Board of Directors established an agency endowment with the Audubon County Endowment Fund and the Omaha Community Foundation in 2005. The hospital foundation’s endowment fund is a means of protecting charitable dollars for the future of the foundation’s vital work in the community. Donations to the endowment fund are always welcome. The fund has grown annually through support from members of the community and donations received during annual giving campaigns. By designating cash gifts, appreciated property, real estate, other assets or a planned gift such as a bequest to the Audubon County Hospital Foundation Endowed Fund, you can create a permanent legacy that will help ensure the Audubon County Hospital Endowed Fund is available to improve healthcare forever.
