ACMH EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT RETROFIT COMPLETE

The year of 2021 saw the completion of Audubon County Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department (ED) retrofit. Unfortunately, for COVID-19 safety reasons the Hospital was unable to host an open house for the community to see the updated ED before the grand re-opening.   Hospital employees, Board of Trustee and Foundation representatives, and Audubon community leaders came together to celebrate with a ribbon cutting.

ACMH joins in the Spirit of the Season with the Community

Audubon County Memorial Hospital and the Foundation joined with fellow community groups for Holiday Hometown. This past Saturday, the Agrihall was filled with holiday cheer as community members toured beautiful Christmas trees and enjoyed delicious snacks while the children had a visit from Santa!

FOUNDATION WREATH FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS!

On December 1, 2021, The Audubon County Hospital Foundation members distributed wreaths from their annual fundraiser. Community members picked up their pre-ordered wreaths at the Audubon Recreation Center. These individually decorated wreaths were created by Jodi Best from The Market, in Exira.

COVID-19 Vaccine Update

(Audubon, IA) The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently authorized booster shots to now include all adults ages 18 years and older who received a primary mRNA COVID-19 vaccine series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) at least six months after the primary series. Prior to this authorization, eligibility had been limited to individuals ages 65 and older and those with underlying health conditions or who lived or worked in environments that placed them at high risk. Those who received a single shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are already eligible for a booster two months after their initial dose.
