Position: Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)
Department: Emergency Department
Provides direct patient care as defined by state licensure requirements. Will work in emergency settings and perform as part of a treatment team. Under general supervision provides urgent/emergency healthcare and performs approved medical services under the direction of the physician – admit, care for and discharge patients in the hospital. Manage and treat patient’s illnesses and injuries through the hospital’s emergency department.
Minimum of three years of ER experience. Graduate of an accredited ARNP program with unrestricted license in the state of Iowa as a Nurse Practitioner. Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, ATLS required. Credentialed as provider for DEA authority. Able to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team. Able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change. Must have a working knowledge of computers and Electronic Health Records.
