General Description:
This position has primary responsibility for food preparation, following standardized menu instructions and recipes. Follows established sanitation and safety procedures in the preparation and disposal of food items. Serves food items on tray-line and keeps work areas, equipment, and utensils and tools washed/sanitized. Assists in the loading and transporting of food carts to designated patient area. May bake as required and assist with dish washing.
Experience/Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required. The ability to read, write and speak English is mandatory. Previous dietary/food service experience preferred. Understanding relationship of sanitation and infection control preferred. Must have ability to calculate measurements in recipes to increase or decrease servings.
