| General Description: | |
| Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for a specific group of patients. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care of patients in the outpatient setting including Specialty Clinics, Surgical Services, Cardiac Rehab, and Infusions. Is responsible for managing supplies and equipment in the Clinic and O.R. and for promoting team work with providers and personnel from other departments. Additionally, performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. | |
| Experience/Education Requirements: | |
| Graduation from an accredited program of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa is mandatory. Surgical experience preferred. Must be familiar with electronic health records and have basic computer skills. Must maintain all certifications as required by job function or by law. Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation. | |

| Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is a 17- bed, Critical Access Hospital serving Audubon County and the surrounding areas, with the mission of “Excellence With Quality and Compassion to Those We Serve.”
Our services include emergency services, acute care, skilled nursing services, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and surgical services. In addition, we offer several specialty services including orthopedic, mental health, pain management, podiatry, dermatology, oncology, spine surgery, cardiology, head and neck surgery, and urology. We also operate two rural health clinics, Audubon Family Health Care and Exira Medical Clinic. Our clinics offer complete care from newborns to senior adults by providing well child check-ups, age-appropriate preventative care, sports and school physicals, immunizations, and treatment of occasional and ongoing illnesses. ACMH has been named as a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital for 2023 by the Chartis Group. |
