James Cunningham, D.O.​

​Dr. Cunningham has been providing service to the Audubon County community for over 30 years. He is Board Certified through the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians; additionally he maintains membership in the American Osteopathic Association, Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association, and Iowa Academy of Family Physicians. He is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.


Anissa Irlmeier, PA-C

​Anissa J. Irlmeier began working at AFHC in July of 2012. Prior to AFHC Anissa worked at the Manning Family Healthcare Clinic and began there in 1995. Anissa attended Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in Des Moines and she graduated in 1988. She attended the PA program at the University of North Dakota graduating in 1995. Anissa had worked full time in family practice including ER coverage, nursing home, and substance abuse. Her special interests include womens health, mental health, and chronic disease such as diabetes.


Christopher F. Stubbs, M.D.

Dr. Christopher Stubbs and his family joined the the Audubon community in 2016. The Stubbs family, which includes wife Kristen and two young sons, James and Evan, originally come from Kansas, although they have called several other places home throughout the years (Miami, Chicago, Oklahoma City). Dr. Stubbs did his undergraduate studies and most of medical school at The University of Kansas, then completed his medical education at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago, IL. Dr. Stubbs obtained post-graduate residency training in Family Medicine at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Stubbs has experience working with a diverse patient population, from rural Oklahoma to intercity Chicago. He is looking forward to caring for the people of Audubon for years to come!


Stephanie Vampola, D.O.

Dr. Vampola grew up in Bellevue, Nebraska, and attended undergrad at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, where she majored in Biology and minored in music and Spanish. Dr. Vampola then attended Medical School at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her residency at Trinity Bettendorf Family Practice Residency, serving as Chief Resident in her final year.  She has a passion for treating pediatric, sports medicine, and women’s health patients but is looking forward to serving all health care needs of Audubon County residents.
