Dr. Jeff Maire is a board-certified general surgeon, and joined our team in September 2017 as the first employed full-time general surgeon at Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics.
Dr. Maire specializes in laparoscopic surgeries of the abdomen (such as gallbladder removal and hernia repair), breast biopsies, mastectomies, and wound care management. He also performs common procedures including EGDs, colonoscopies, vasectomies, and appendectomies.
Dr. Maire is Board-Certified in General Surgery. He earned his Medical Degree at Des Moines University and completed his General Surgery Residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. During his residency he completed three elective rotations in Pediatric Surgery, Cancer Surgery, and Trauma Surgery.
Dr. Maire and his wife, Margie, have three children, Courtney, Rebecca, and Ryan. In his free time, Dr. Maire enjoys bicycling, flying, golfing, and competing in triathlons.
