Mandy Bartels, M.D.

Dr. Mandy Bartles is a diplomate of the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS), and her specialty is internal medicine. She has over 25 years of experience in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency medicine.

Dr. Bartles was born in the Republic of Congo and raised in Montreal, Canada. She completed her internal medicine residency at Duke University.

“I enjoy all aspects of medicine (inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care) and place a high emphasis on developing individualized care plans for my patients and their family.”

Dr. Bartles practice experience has included rural, metropolitan, suburban, and international work. Her career began in rural Minot and Stanley North Dakota where she practiced the full breadth of medicine. This encompassed outpatient, inpatient, and emergency medicine.

“Minot and Stanley North Dakota left a long-lasting impression of rural medicine and the joys of practicing in a small tight knit community.”

Five years later Dr. Bartles had the opportunity to live and work internationally. Her career took her to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Here, she had the pleasure of providing clinical outpatient care to employees of Aramco and upgrading the UAE military hospital. She returned to the United States late in 2011, where she continued practicing emergency and outpatient medicine.

“During my travels all over the United States I came to realize that I enjoyed practicing and being part of a rural community. This realization has brought me back full circle to Audubon County.

With my husband retired from the army, children in Texas and New York City, I find myself ready for my final adventure and am looking forward to serving the community in Audubon.”
