Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is excited to announce that our new Chronic Care Management (CCM) service is being managed solely by the staff at Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is pleased to announce that our Rehabilitation Services department is expanding their services for patients with Parkinson disease. Physical Therapist, Barb Jacobsen, has recently become certified in LSTV BIG, a program for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

June is National Hernia Awareness Month. The purpose of National Hernia Awareness Month is to raise the public knowledge of the warning signs and latest treatment options available regarding hernias.

Pain can be difficult to live with and impacts how you feel, physically and emotionally. Congratulations to Caylee Rokke, RN, who was named the DAISY Award recipient this year at Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics. Caylee has been a nurse in the Med-Surg/ER department at ACMH since May of 2016.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics has several t-shirts on display by their Emergency Department. The t-shirts represent their participation in The Clothesline Project. Each t-shirt on display was created by a local survivor of abuse and represents their own personal story. Traditionally, the colors of the shirts represented the type of abuse they experienced.

On October 30, 2018, Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics participated in a county-wide exercise as part of our emergency preparedness program. During the exercise staff discussed their roles during an emergency and their responses to a particular emergency situation.

During pharmacy month, we want to discuss how antibiotics are used. Antibiotics are not effective against viruses such as the common cold or flu. Even some bacterial infections such as bronchitis or a sinus infection do not need an antibiotic right away.
