Audubon, IA  April 19, 2018:  Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is pleased to announce that Lisa Paulsen has been named Chief Nursing Office (CNO). Lisa has been in this role since February of 2018, and served in an interim capacity for a few months before that.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is proud to announce Kolton Hewlett, Director of HR and Organizational Excellence, has earned the designation as a Professional in Human Resources through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is proud to announce Heather Toft, Physician Clinics Director, has completed the certification process to earn the title of Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional. Heather is one of only two RHC Professionals in the state of Iowa and among the merely ninety-seven individuals in the entire United States to pass the certification exam.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics in Audubon, Iowa was recently named one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States by The Chartis Center for Rural Health.

ACA health insurance enrollment begins Today (Nov. 1) and ends December 15. This is a shorter time period and not widely promoted information. If you need to look into Marketplace insurance with subsidies to help pay for it, do it now. A couple of weeks ago, ACMH Administration and Board Members attended the National Rural Health Association Annual Conference and accepted the NRHA Top 20 Critical Access Hospital (CAH) award. The Top 20 Critical Access Hospital recognition is given to those hospitals who have achieved success in overall performance based on eight indices of strength including inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, costs, charges, and financial stability.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is proud to announce they have added a new member to the Outpatient Specialty Clinic and Surgical team as a full-time General Surgeon , Dr. Jeff Maire. Dr. Maire specializes in laparoscopic surgeries of the abdomen; such as gallbladder removal and hernia repair, breast biopsies, mastectomies, and also provides wound management care. He will also perform common procedures such as EGD’s, colonoscopies, vasectomies and appendectomies.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics is hosting a free Health and Wellness Fair on September, 23, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for community members of all ages at the Audubon Community High School Activities Center and parking lot. The fair is a collaboration of healthcare facilities, public health, social service agencies, and emergency response agencies.

Starting August 1st, the Audubon Clinic will have early morning walk-in hours Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Regular appointments will still be available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics is proud to announce Stephanie Vampola, D.O., will be joining our team of health care providers on August 1, 2017.

AUDUBON, IOWA, Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics proudly announces it has earned national accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for meeting the high standards required for accreditation as a certified sleep lab.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital has been named a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital out of the more than 1,300 critical access hospitals in the nation by the National Rural Health Association, which puts them in the top 1.5%.

Becky Bruch was named the Daisy Award recipient this year, being nominated by numerous co-workers at Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics.
