Flu season typically begins in late October or November. Since the vaccine takes about two weeks for antibodies to develop in the body, getting the vaccine now will offer protection when the season begins.

|Perform all levels of testing complexity and analysis on biological specimens to provide information used in the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of disease. Utilize a variety of procedures that may involve numerous detailed tests and techniques that require the use of professional judgment. Carries out a variety of complex procedures involving considerable independent judgment. The incumbent must be able to perform procedures of moderate and high complexity in Hematology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Immunology and Microbiology. Works with all levels within the organization and maintains positive relationships, cooperation, communication and coordination of all activities.|
|Requirements include graduation from an accredited program for medical laboratory professionals and ASCP certification required. Would consider someone with a four-year degree in a science related field of study and experience in a hospital setting as a lab technician. Experience in hospital laboratory preferred. Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and frequent interruptions. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Must exhibit a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters.|

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is excited to announce that Dr. Pedro Ricart will be adding spine surgeries to his list of services provided in our outpatient specialty clinic! Dr. Ricart has been providing our patients with acute and chronic nonsurgical treatment for neck and back issues since 2017 and will now be performing minimally invasive spine procedures for adult scoliosis & kyphosis, and cervical and lumbar disc problems.
