This position has several primary functions including, but not limited to the following:
Prepare and cook food by following standard recipes and menu instructions.
Follow patients’ prescribed diets and special meal instructions.
Prepare special diets, such as low-sodium, diabetic, low-fat, or modified-texture meals, as required.
Be aware of food allergies and prevent cross-contamination.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
Keep kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and tools clean and sanitized.
Serve meals to patients on the tray line.
Make sure meals are prepared and served according to the correct diet and patient instructions.
Load and transport food carts to designated patient areas.
Bake items when needed.
Assist with dishwashing and other kitchen duties as assigned.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Experience/Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required. The ability to read, write and speak English is mandatory. Previous dietary/food service experience preferred. Understanding relationship of sanitation and infection control preferred. Must have ability to calculate measurements in recipes to increase or decrease servings.
Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for a specific group of patients. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical and emergency care setting. Communicates with physicians and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patients’ clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Coordinates care in collaboration with the patient, family, nurses, peers, physicians, and allied health care providers. Assumes responsibility for the outcome of nursing care delivered. Additionally, performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Experience/Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited program of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa is mandatory. Prior emergency department or ICU experience, preferred. Must be familiar with electronic health records and have basic computer skills. Must maintain all certifications as required by job function or by law. Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation.

Hours: Full-Time (includes on-call, holiday and weekend rotation)General Description:Will perform general radiographic and CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment. Takes responsibility for designated areas or procedures required. Manipulate, adjust and control the complex electronic and computerized components of the imaging system to produce patient examinations and research project while performing quality assurance procedures and evaluating system performance throughout the working day. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision. Works with all levels within the organization and maintains positive relationships, cooperation, communication and coordination of all activities.Experience/Education Requirements:Graduation from an accredited program of radiology with current registration through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and permit to practice through the State of Iowa.
