ACMH’s Betsy Smith Honored with Shining Star Award

Audubon County Memorial Hospital is excited to have Dr. Jon Swanson as their newest primary care physician.

Physical Therapist (Full-Time)

Position: Physical Therapist
Department: Rehabilitation Services
Hours: Full-Time
General Description:
Develops and implements physical therapy treatment programs in the treatment of neonatal through geriatric patients. Plans treatment programs designed to relieve pain, improve function, and return to maximum level of performance based on individual patient needs identified by thorough evaluation. This evaluation may be administered independently or under referral from a healthcare provider. Develops and administers individual treatment plans for physical rehabilitation. Makes recommendations and assists in and/or performs fitting of adaptive equipment and orthopedic appliances. Designs home treatment programs, counsels and educates patient, family, and/or caregiver on care and home treatment programs.
Experience/Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited program of physical therapy with current licensure as a Physical Therapist with the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners in the State of Iowa is mandatory. Must be familiar with electronic health records and have basic computer skills. Must maintain all certifications as required by job function or by law. Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation.
