Hours:   36 hours per week
General Description:
Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our provider group in Audubon, Iowa. The emergency department is staffed full-time with nurse practitioners and 24/7 physician back-up via telemedicine.  This opportunity occasionally requires assisting in the rural health clinic with acute patient visits.
Experience/Education Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited ARNP program.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Unrestricted license in the state of Iowa as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS required within 90 days of hire.
  • Credentialed as a provider with DEA number and prescriptive authority.
  • Prefer a minimum of two years’ experience in hospital and/or emergency medicine.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team.
  • Able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Electronic Health Records.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is a 17 bed, Critical Access Hospital serving Audubon County and the surrounding areas, with the mission of “Excellence With Quality and Compassion to Those We Serve.” Our services include emergency services, acute care, skilled nursing services, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, sleep studies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and surgical services. General Description:
The pharmacist will be responsible for distributive and clinical activities, including the monitoring of medication therapy and order entry. • Order verification • Chart review • Medication reconciliation • Patient education • Medication delivery • IV sterile compounding • Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals • Compliance with pharmacy and hospital regulatory requirements
Experience/Education Requirements:
  • RPh or PharmD • Completion of program from an accredited school of pharmacy • Pharmacist license and registration in the state of Iowa
  • Experience in hospital-based pharmacy operations.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and frequent interruptions.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills • Self-Starter, ability to work independently required.

Roxane Rupiper, RN Celebrates Retirement with ACMH Co-workers

Last month the employees of Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics celebrated the retirement of their beloved co-worker, Roxane Rupiper, RN.  The Med/Surg staff hosted a large number of co-workers who gathered at the Audubon Rec Center to surprise Roxie with a party. It was a true surprise as she had just come from her garden!

ACH Foundation Holiday Wreath Fundraiser Adds Color to the Community

The cool air brought promises of winter weather to come as ACH Foundation board members gathered at The Market last Friday morning. Wreaths upon wreaths filled the greenhouse in Exira. These holiday wreaths were swathed in colorful ribbon and shiny ornaments handmade by Jodi Best, owner of The Market.
