Paul Mormann, Nutrition Services Cook at Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics was honored with this quarter’s ACMH Employee Recognition Award.
This year, ACMH developed a new award to honor employees who go above and beyond the scope of their duties. Suzanne Cooner, CEO of ACMH said, “We have so many employees that go above and beyond in caring for our patients and their fellow co-workers. This is an opportunity for staff members to nominate any staff member employed by ACMH.”
In order to be considered for this award, the nomination letter must showcase how the employee meets the values of the organization: Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, Respect, Service Excellence, Stewardship. To determine the award honoree, these nominations are reviewed on a quarterly basis, reviewed by department heads, and voted on using a closed ballot.
Paul Mormann has worked in his role as a Cook at ACMH for 15 years. His commitment to excellence is evident in his daily routine as he cares for patients, staff and the community.
Mormann is the third recipient of the ACMH Employee Recognition Award and was nominated by Heather Toft, BSN, RN, CRHC, Physician’s Clinics Director of both Audubon Family Health Care and Exira Medical Clinic and by Deb Jensen, LPN of AFHC.
Heather Toft wrote the following in her nomination letter regarding Mormann: “Paul is pleasant, kind, and helpful to staff and patients alike. He offers everyone food options and accepts special requests with grace. He is always warm and friendly with a smile on his face. He welcomes new staff and remembers them as they come through the lunch line. He remembers certain foods that staff really like and will tell them when it is being served to help us better plan our meal.
Paul is dependable and takes responsibility for extra tasks he is asked to complete from the clinic staff. He is always willing to help us with any challenges that come up. Paul is very honest and reliable. He is a very trustworthy co-worker. Paul is polite and respectful to staff, providers, and patients.
Dr. Stephanie Vampola also has commented on her appreciation of his willingness to go the extra mile for his fellow co-workers. He is always thoughtful and considerate of others. Paul exceeds clinic staff expectations but offers food substitutes and helps to come up with different ideas for meals. We appreciate his attentiveness and excellent follow through.”- Heather Toft BSN, RN, CRHCP, Physician’s Clinics Director, ACMH Clinics.
Deb Jensen, LPN also gave praise in her nomination of Mormann. Jensen stated, “Paul goes above and beyond in so many ways. He is always accommodating to all of us as employees and patients including their families. Paul always has a smile and asks what he can do for you. Never have I seen him unhappy towards anyone. No one is more willing to help or go above and beyond to be kind and helpful to all. Paul is a perfect example of the values that our hospital strives to be known for.” – Deb Jensen, LPN
Congratulations to Paul for the dedication and commitment you display each day whether it is toward your co-workers or care you provide to the patients at Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics.
