ACH Foundation Concludes 2025 Annual Giving Campaign and Announces 2026 Initiative

Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics (ACMH) is pleased to announce that its Med-Surg and Emergency Room Departments have received two Vapotherm Respiratory units funded through the Audubon County Hospital Foundation’s 2025 Annual Giving Campaign. The Foundation dedicated its fundraising efforts throughout the year to securing these units, which will significantly enhance respiratory care services at ACMH.

ACH Foundation Continues Annual “Books for Kids” Initiative for Fourth Consecutive Year

The ACH Foundation has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting early childhood education by providing books to kindergarten students at Audubon and EEHK through its annual “Books for Kids” initiative. This marks the fourth consecutive year the Foundation has sponsored the program, underscoring its dedication to investing in the youth of Audubon County.

Plant Operations Specialist

General Description:

Under general supervision of the Plant Operations Director, supports and maintains the organization’s facility operation, buildings, and grounds.  Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the facility in good repair.  Minor maintenance, repairs and other duties are the primary duties.  Assists with plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance. Constructs, repairs, and maintains wooden structures such as furniture, equipment, partitions, and other parts of the hospital buildings, using hand tools and power tools according to written and oral instructions. Participates in rotating after hours/weekend on-call support.

Experience/Education Requirements:
A high school diploma, or equivalent, and a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural building operational and maintenance systems is desirable. Certification in plant systems equipment is desirable. Strong oral communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.  Strong customer service orientation. A working knowledge of fire alarm systems or building security systems. A thorough knowledge of general repairs to plant equipment. Knowledge and observance of safety precautions. Proficient in carpentry, boiler water testing, plumbing, painting/plastering, and other related skills.
