This position serves to primarily assist clinic healthcare providers with patient examinations, phone calls, treatments and procedures as they may be performed within a clinic setting under the direction of the provider; within the scope of the professional license. Environmental Services Tech

General Description:
Maintains hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition to provide a suitable environment for patient care and staff work. Performs a variety of housekeeping duties that include dusting, washing, and disinfecting furniture, fixtures and equipment; sweeping, moping, and scrubbing, floors, gathers and dispose of refuse gathering laundry; washing, drying, folding, and putting away laundry; arranging and moving furniture and performing similar tasks. Keep entryways and exits clear of trash and cleaning glass doors and enclosures. Washes and cleans windows in rooms, hallways, and exits/entries. The incumbent works in an atmosphere that is autonomous, yet team oriented. 40 hours per week.
Experience/Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required. The ability to read, write and speak English is mandatory. Prior experience in a laundry and/or housekeeping position is desired.

General Description:
Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for a specific group of patients. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical and emergency care setting. Communicates with physicians and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Coordinates care in collaboration with the patient, family, nurses, peers, physicians, and allied health care providers. Assumes responsibility for the outcome of nursing care delivered. Additionally, performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Experience/Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited program of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa is mandatory. Prior emergency department or ICU experience, preferred. Must be familiar with electronic health records and have basic computer skills. Must maintain all certifications as required by job function or by law. Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation.
