The National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) and rural-focused organizations throughout the United States set aside the third Thursday of November to recognize NRHD. This annual event is an opportunity to celebrate the “Power of Rural” and honor the individuals and organizations dedicated to addressing the unique healthcare needs of nearly 61 million people living in rural America.
Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics was recognized by the State of Iowa’s Department of Health and Human Services for fulfilling Critical Access Hospital Quality Infrastructure Elements and Criteria for 2024.
The Audubon County Hospital Foundation is excited to spread the holiday spirit by launching its Annual Giving Campaign with a Holiday Wreath fundraiser. Pre-decorated wreaths, provided by The Market Greenhouse in Exira, will be available for pre-order until November 14th. A portion of the proceeds will go toward this year’s annual giving campaign initiative.
Throughout October, ACMH has been actively sharing the importance of regular mammography screenings within the Audubon community at local events and on social media.

The Audubon County Hospital Foundation and the staff of Audubon County Memorial Hospital express their gratitude to the Omaha Community Foundation for awarding a grant in the amount of $14,760.43 to replace the Blanket/IV Fluid Warming Cabinet in the Emergency and Med-Surg Departments.
