ACH Foundation Launches Annual Giving Campaign with Holiday Wreath Sale

The Audubon County Hospital Foundation is excited to spread the holiday spirit by launching its Annual Giving Campaign with a Holiday Wreath fundraiser. Pre-decorated wreaths, provided by The Market Greenhouse in Exira, will be available for pre-order until November 14th. A portion of the proceeds will go toward this year’s annual giving campaign initiative.

The Foundation board firmly believes that “the best protection is early detection.” This is why they are thrilled to announce that the 2026 annual giving campaign item will be the *NEW* Hologic Envision Mammography Unit, a proposal presented to the board by Jessica Fastert, ACMH Radiology Director.

Callen Weispfennig, the newly appointed CEO of Audubon County Memorial Hospital, approved three prospective project options for review by the Foundation Board. Among them, the proposal to purchase a mammography unit quickly captured the attention of the board members and was ultimately selected as their focus project. Jessica was thrilled to learn that the Foundation had chosen to support the acquisition of the new mammogram machine, recognizing the significant impact it would have on women’s health services in the community.

Jessica stated, “The Envision is redesigned to be the most advanced, patient-centric breast imaging platform on the market. It offers patients the fastest 3D imaging scan time and reduces the amount of time patients are in compression. Utilizing a SmartCurve paddle that mirrors the patients shape, reduces pinching and applies a more uniform compression.

The Envision has a new tilt positioning feature that is designed to help improve positioning for all patients and is likely to capture more breast tissue. Millimeters matter and this new platform is designed to be inclusive, accessible, and inviting to all women- especially extensive patient types, such as kyphotic, frozen shoulder, or wheelchair users.”

Jessica Fastert, R.T. (R)(M)(CT), and Sydnee Patridge, R.T. (R)(M)(CT), the mammogram technologists at ACMH, are excited to bring adaptability and comfort to their patients, hoping this will encourage them to schedule their annual mammogram appointments.

Keep an eye on your mailbox for the ACH Foundation’s Annual Giving Mailing, which will arrive in November, and wave to Jessica and Sydnee’s billboard on your way out of town!
