Audubon County Memorial Hospital’s Rehabilitation Services Department is committed to providing outreach services to the community.
For the past 2 years, Emma Neumann, PTA/LMT, has been offering a weekly exercise program for all who would like to attend. As a Physical Therapy Assistant and a Licensed Massage Therapist, Neumann is passionate about bringing her physical therapy knowledge and movement to patients of all ages.
Neumann developed this low impact exercise program and throughout the years, has modified the exercises to better adapt to the needs of the people joining in the class.
Participants are provided a packet with pictures and explanation of all exercises, which include a warmup/cool down, stretching, sitting and standing exercises, and balance/coordination exercises. This packet is a useful resource that participants can keep and utilize in their home environment.
Neumann states that, “The goal of the class is to have a welcoming space for all, to get stronger and better themselves through socialization and exercise.”
Over the course of her career, Neumann has collected various exercises and stretches that help participants wherever they are on their physical journey. She is happy to accommodate the needs of anyone who joins the class. All are welcome.
There is a one-time fee of $5 and classes typically last 2 months. After the program ends there is a one month break before the next program begins.
The exercise classes are held in the ACMH Rehabilitation Department located on the first floor in the Audubon Hospital. Classes are held every Monday and Wednesday from 10AM-11AM, weather permitting.
The next Exercise Class begins Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 10:00AM. Join Emma Neumann and fellow community members and discover the power of movement.
