ACMH Healthcare Professionals Attend Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine- Preventable Diseases in Des Moines

Audubon, IA, November 1- 2, 2023-  Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics healthcare professionals, Christy Konkler CMA, Melissa Vinke CMA, and Amy Gray RN attended the Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases – Pink Book Course at the Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines, IA on November 1-2, 2023.

This conference was a two-day course that provided a comprehensive review of immunization, vaccine-preventable diseases, and respective vaccines. Participants of the course were provided with the most up-to-date immunization information from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). This information included:

  • General Best Practice Guidelines on Immunization Vaccine recommendations for pertussis, haemophilus influenzae type b, influenza, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, pneumococcal, polio, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, meningococcal, human papillomavirus, zoster, and COVID-19, Vaccine Safety and current issues.
