ACMH’s Courtney Schlichte Visits Buena Vista University

Audubon County Memorial Hospital’s Rehabilitation Services Department continues to provide outreach services to the community.  This winter, Rehabilitation Services Courtney Schlichte, DPT, visited with students from Buena Vista University.

Courtney Schlichte is a physical therapist and was invited to speak to a group of current Buena Vista University students as part of a 4-person panel. The panel consisted of 2 Occupational Therapists and 2 Physical Therapists.

These professionals had varying lengths of time since completing their education and worked across a range of clinical settings.

The panelists, including Schlichte, shared lunch with students before participating in a Q&A session that covered topics such as applying to graduate school and exploring the content and offerings of various programs. They also discussed the differences among clinical settings and shared insights from their personal experiences as practicing therapists.

Schlichte also encouraged students to job-shadow as those opportunities give students a hands-on view of their career in action.

If you are interested in job shadowing at Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics contact Haillie Bruch, Human Resources Director at 712-563-5258.
