ACMH is proud to announce that Angie Winther, Billing and Insurance Specialist at Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics was honored with the 2025 fourth quarter ACMH Employee Recognition Award.
Angie Winther has worked at ACMH for 27 years. Angie’s lifelong commitment to ACMH shows her steadfast dedication to the Audubon County community. ACMH is fortunate to have Angie in her role as a Billing and Insurance Specialist. While she may not be visible to our patients on a daily basis, she supports their patient care each and every day.
Angie is the seventh recipient of the ACMH Employee Recognition Award and was nominated by Bliss Weitl, Foundation Director/Ward Clerk.
Bliss Weitl wrote the following about Angie in her nomination form: “Throughout my time working with Angie, she has consistently gone above and beyond to assist me with various insurance challenges and inquiries.
Her willingness to help is remarkable; whenever I face a complication or feel uncertain about resolving an issue, she is always ready to guide me through the necessary steps to do my job accurately. Her patience in teaching me new concepts is commendable, and she creates a welcoming atmosphere during our phone conversations.
Angie promptly researches any insurance details I require and excels in clear communication, which greatly enhances my workflow. She makes my job significantly more manageable and efficient. Despite her many responsibilities, she possesses an impressive knowledge of the rules and information relevant to my needs. If there is ever a question she cannot immediately answer, she takes the initiative to seek out the information, demonstrating her commitment to ongoing learning.
Truly, Angie is an invaluable asset to our team, streamlining operations not just in the business office but across the entire hospital. We are incredibly lucky to have someone as dedicated and skilled as she is.”

ACMH developed the Employee Recognition Award to honor employees who go above and beyond the scope of their duties. Callen Weispfennig, CEO of ACMH said, “We have so many employees that go above and beyond in caring for our patients and their fellow co-workers. This is an opportunity for staff members to nominate any ACMH staff member.”
In order to be considered for this award, the nomination letter must highlight how the employee meets the values of the organization: Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, Respect, Service Excellence, Stewardship. To determine the award honoree, these nominations are reviewed on a quarterly basis, reviewed by department heads, and voted on using a closed ballot.
