When it comes to your health, understanding what is going on is as important as knowing what comes next. The ACMH oncology team focuses on delivering the education patients need to support their cancer care. The ACMH PatientPoint patient education program has been recognized as an award winner for Outstanding Health Education in Oncology. This award confirms that ACMH offers the best-in-class health education to their patients.

The ACMH oncology team works to maintain open communication, reinforce education, and discuss everything from possible side effects to reporting symptoms to Dr. Warner.

Patients meet with ACMH pharmacist, Brett Pietig, PharmD, RPh to review their individualized treatment plan and learn about chemotherapy drugs and supportive medications.

The ACMH Outpatient Specialty Clinic chemo nurses have completed additional certification to ensure patient safety and acquire knowledge for the safe administration of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.  These nurses make sure patients and caregivers understand the comprehensive education material and offer support every step of the way.
