Continuing the festivities throughout the hospital, ACMH had employee events leading up to the holidays to keep morale high. Starting December 1st, each department had two and a half weeks to decorate their trees with whatever they chose. All departments including both Audubon and Exira Rural Healthcare Clinics participated in submitting photos of their trees for the Department Decoration Contest. Open to all staff members, voting took place on December 18th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., allowing staff to look carefully at each picture of the trees before deciding which one should take first place.
On December 19th, ACMH staff members were highly encouraged to wear their ugliest Christmas sweater for a group photo held by the Christmas Tree in the main entryway of the hospital. The winner was announced during the staff photo and Audubon Family Health Clinic’s Toy Story themed tree was crowned as ACMH’s 2025 Department Decoration Contest Winner, causing excitement from AFHC and a friendly uproar from their peers. ACMH staff chose what tree and decorations they felt best represented the spirit at ACMH, reminding everyone that beyond the fun and friendly competition, you’ve always got a friend in us.
