Position: Environmental Services Tech

Hours:   Full-Time (Approximate hours 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and rotating weekends)
General Description:
Maintains hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition to provide a suitable environment for patient care and staff work. Performs a variety of housekeeping duties that include dusting, washing, and disinfecting furniture, fixtures and equipment; sweeping, moping, and scrubbing, floors. gathers and disposes of refuse; gathering laundry; washing, drying, folding and putting away laundry. arranging and moving furniture; and performing similar tasks. Keep entryways and exits clear of trash and cleaning glass doors and enclosures. Washes and cleans windows in rooms, hallways, and exits/entries. The incumbent works in an atmosphere that is autonomous, yet team oriented. 40 hours per week.
Experience/Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required. The ability to read, write and speak English is mandatory. Prior experience in a laundry and/or housekeeping position is desired.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is a 17 bed, Critical Access Hospital serving Audubon County and the surrounding areas, with the mission of “Excellence With Quality and Compassion to Those We Serve.” Our services include emergency services, acute care, skilled nursing services, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, sleep studies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and surgical services. In addition, we offer several specialty services including orthopedic, mental health, pain management, podiatry, oncology, cardiology, neurology, nephrology, rheumatology, and urology.

We also operate two rural health clinics, Audubon Family Health Clinic and Exira Medical Clinic. Our clinics offer complete care from newborns to senior adults by providing well child check-ups, age-appropriate preventative care, sports and school physicals, immunizations, and treatment of occasional and ongoing illnesses.
