ACMH ANNOUNCES HEATHER TOFT AS CERTIFIED RURAL HEALTH CLINIC PROFESSIONAL

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is proud to announce Heather Toft, Physician Clinic Director, has completed the recertification process to earn the title of Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional. Heather was originally one of only two RHC Professionals in the state of Iowa to pass the certification exam in 2018. There are now almost 50 Certified Rural Health Clinic Professionals in the state.

ACMH Volunteers for Meals from the Heartland

Audubon County Memorial Hospital staff members joined Audubon County community volunteers to help prepare around 35,000 meals for Meals from the Heartland.

RN or LPN – Med-Surg/ED (Full-Time, Night Shift) **Weekend Package option available**

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Department: Med-Surg/ED
Hours: Full-Time Night Shift (36 hours per week — weekend package option available)
General Description:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical and emergency care setting. Communicates with physicians and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Coordinates patient care activities, based on established priorities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning. Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, family members, and members of the health care team about the patient’s plan of care.

*Weekend package option

Will work Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night 7p to 7a

Experience/Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited program of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Iowa is mandatory. Prior nursing experience in a hospital inpatient and/or emergency department setting, highly preferred. Must be familiar with electronic health records and have basic computer skills. Must maintain all certifications as required by job function or by law. Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation.
