Audubon- The Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) is a free, objective, and confidential service offered through the state of Iowa to help people sort through confusing information about Medicare and determine eligibility for financial assistance or benefits.

ACMH Offers Post-COVID Recovery Support Group

Audubon County Memorial Hospital is now offering a Post-COVID recovery support group for those individuals who would like to connect with others that are having a shared experience. Support groups offer a safe environment where members that share the same condition come together to suggest coping strategies, feel more empowered and gain a sense of community.

Masks No Longer Required at ACMH

Face Coverings (Masks) No Longer Required at Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics.

According to the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) “The move to ease up on masking reflects current conditions at this phase of the coronavirus pandemic, including widespread immunity through vaccination and prior infection as well as better access to testing and treatments.”

ACMH Relay For Life Luncheon

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a voluntary health organization that is committed to helping communities fight cancer. The ACS states, that in 2019 over “2.5 million participants worldwide joined Relay For Life to raise funds and awareness to continue our mission to help save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. ACS estimates that 1 out of 3 people in the US will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.” According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States.

ACMH employee, Lauren Hansen receives IHERF scholarship

Audubon County student receives IHERF scholarship

ACMH is proud to share that Lauren Hansen of Exira, an employee of Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics who is studying Nursing-ADN at Des Moines Area Community College, has been awarded a $3,500 scholarship from the Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation (IHERF), which is supported by the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA). Lauren is among 60 students from Iowa who have received assistance this year from the IHERF Health Care Careers Scholarship Program.
