ACMH Student Intern Spotlight on Bristol Finley
Growing up, Bristol Finley spent a lot of time at Audubon County Memorial Hospital. Whether it was visiting family or watching her mom get her blood drawn, the hospital was always a familiar place. Now, she’s come full circle, working as an intern lab technician while earning her Biology/Medical Laboratory Science degree at Upper Iowa University.

People who live in rural communities live an average of three years fewer than urban counterparts and have a 40% higher likelihood of developing heart disease and face a 30% increased risk for stroke mortality, according to an American Heart Association’s presidential advisory on rural health. ACMH Opens Behavioral Health Clinic, Welcomes Shelli Brown, ARNP, PMHNP, BC
Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics announces the opening of the new ACMH Behavioral Health Clinic (ABHC). Callen Weispfennig, CEO of ACMH remarked, “We are excited to welcome Shelli Brown, PMHNP, to ACMH. Her addition allows us to expand our services to include behavioral health, an area of significant need in our communities. Across the country, behavioral health services remain one of the most pressing unmet needs, and rural Iowa is no exception.”
