Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics is excited to introduce Mandy Bartels, M.D., Internal Medicine Physician.

Mandy Bartels, M.D., is a diplomate of the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS), and her specialty is internal medicine. As a board-certified physician, she has over 25 years of experience in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency medicine.
A physician who is referred to as a diplomate is one who has received advanced training and experience in their field of study and passed an intensive examination by a national board of senior specialists. *
Dr. Bartels will provide comprehensive primary care to patients in both the Audubon and Exira Clinic settings. She enjoys all aspects of medicine and places a high emphasis on developing individualized care plans for her patients.
Dr. Bartels offers preventative care, health screenings, and chronic care management. She specializes in treating patients with complex conditions and those that have multiple health issues.
Dr. Bartels began her career in rural North Dakota where she practiced the full breadth of medicine. Since that time, she has had the opportunity to live and work in rural, metropolitan and suburban areas, and internationally.
Dr. Bartels finds meaning practicing in a small tight knit community. “During my travels all over the United States I came to realize that I enjoyed practicing and being part of a rural community. This realization has brought me back full circle to Audubon County. With my husband retired from the army, children in Texas and New York City, I find myself ready for my next adventure and am looking forward to serving the community in Audubon.”
Dr. Mandy Bartels will be seeing patients at the following locations: Audubon Family Health Clinic (712) 563-4611 and the Exira Medical Clinic (712) 268-5348. Appointments are now being scheduled for July 2025.
