Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics (ACMH) is encouraging community members to consider donating blood after LifeServe Blood Center, the hospital’s blood supplier, issued a Dangerously Low Blood Supply alert.
Every day, local hospitals rely on donated blood to care for patients experiencing medical emergencies, surgeries, chronic illnesses, and other conditions that require lifesaving transfusions. A strong local blood supply helps ensure blood is available whenever patients need it.
While LifeServe Blood Center recently held a blood drive at ACMH, the next scheduled blood drive at the hospital will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 9:00am to 12:30pm. Community members who are eligible to donate are encouraged to make an appointment at a nearby LifeServe donor center before then if they are able.
“Blood donations are one way our community can make a direct impact on the lives of others,” said Kristina Feldhans, ACMH Director of Laboratory. “When our neighbors donate, they help ensure blood is available for patients here at ACMH and throughout the region.”
