ACMH Joins Nationwide Observance of National Rural Health Day on November 21

Audubon County Memorial Hospital is proud to join communities across America in celebration of National Rural Health Day (NRHD) on November 21, 2024. The National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) and rural-focused organizations throughout the United States set aside the third Thursday of November to recognize NRHD. This annual event is an opportunity to celebrate the “Power of Rural” and honor the individuals and organizations dedicated to addressing the unique healthcare needs of nearly 61 million people living in rural America.

“It is of vital importance that we ensure all rural Iowans have access to affordable, quality health care close to home,” said Suzanne Cooner, CEO of Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics. “ACMH is proud to recognize the incredible work of health professionals and volunteers in our community on National Rural Health Day and throughout the year.”

Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics has a mission to provide “excellence with quality and compassion to those we serve.” ACMH operates two rural health clinics, Audubon Family Health Care and Exira Medical Clinic. Providers at both clinics are currently accepting new patients. ACMH is actively recruiting new providers for both clinics to offer additional services to accommodate the growing needs of the Audubon County community.

Both clinics offer complete care from newborns to senior adults by providing well child check-ups, age-appropriate preventative care, sports and school physicals, immunizations, and treatment of occasional and ongoing illnesses.

Our services include emergency services, acute care, skilled nursing services, laboratory, radiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and surgical services. In addition, we offer specialty services including orthopedic, mental health, pain management, podiatry, oncology, cardiology, OB/GYN, and urology.
