ACMH Welcomes Saima Zafar, M.D. for Cardiology and Obesity Medicine

Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics is excited to announce that Saima Zafar, M.D. is joining their team of professionals at the ACMH Outpatient Specialty Clinic.

Saima Zafar, M.D., MBA is double board certified as a Cardiologist and is an American Board of Obesity Medicine Diplomate. Dr. Zafar is fascinated with the heart and how it can impact other parts of the body. She is experienced in addressing a wide range of ailments of the cardiovascular system, such as abnormal heart rhythm, blocked arteries, weak heart muscle, as well as malfunctioning heart valves. In addition, she has broad experience in managing the effects of post-COVID related cardiovascular complications.

Dr. Zafar draws great satisfaction in alleviating the pain and stress of people with heart disease. She treats patients with hypertension, coronary artery disease, vascular disease and heart failure with preserved or reduced function.

Dr. Zafar enjoys managing and supporting patients with Cardiovascular disease who have weight related problems. To prevent cardiovascular issues, Dr. Zafar impresses on her patients to exercise regularly, take prescribed medication and empower themselves by understanding the importance of knowing their health stats, such as blood pressure and weight.
