The National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) and rural-focused organizations throughout the United States set aside the third Thursday of November to recognize NRHD. This annual event is an opportunity to celebrate the “Power of Rural” and honor the individuals and organizations dedicated to addressing the unique healthcare needs of nearly 61 million people living in rural America.

In recognition of National Diabetes Awareness Month, Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics is committed to raising awareness of diabetes.

Dr. Stephanie Vampola, Family Medicine Physician at Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics has always been an advocate for expanding literary access to our younger generation.

Sarah Asmus, LPN, Specialty Clinic and Surgery Manager at Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics was recognized at the Iowa Hospital Association’s (IHA) Annual Meeting for graduating from the IHA Leadership Development Program.

Megan Steiner of Audubon County Memorial Hospital was recently honored with The DAISY Award® For Extraordinary Nurses. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s programs to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.
