ACMH Participates in the Clothesline Project

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics has several t-shirts on display by their Emergency Department. The t-shirts represent their participation in The Clothesline Project. Each t-shirt on display was created by a local survivor of abuse and represents their own personal story. Traditionally, the colors of the shirts represented the type of abuse they experienced.

On October 30, 2018, Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics participated in a county-wide exercise as part of our emergency preparedness program. During the exercise staff discussed their roles during an emergency and their responses to a particular emergency situation.

October is American Pharmacy Month

Join Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics as we celebrate American Pharmacy Month. With winter approaching, one of the most common requests of health care providers will be for an antibiotic. During pharmacy month, we want to discuss how antibiotics are used. Antibiotics are not effective against viruses such as the common cold or flu. Even some bacterial infections such as bronchitis or a sinus infection do not need an antibiotic right away.

Breast cancer is one of the most serious threats to women and one of the leading causes of death in women between the ages of 30 and 55. One out of every eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Join in the fight against breast cancer by making October the month to get screened.
